March is here and spring is in the air (soon hopefully!). Le jour de la Saint Patrick (St. Patrick’s Day) is March 17thand I have assembled some links to some helpful resources for incorporating the St. Patrick’s Day theme in your French classroom this month. BONUS- They are ALL FREE!
Check them out below!
Check out this article from an Ireland tourism site. In French, it explains all about St Patrick and the traditions surrounding the day of March 17th. This is perfect for older students or immersion students. It would make a great fill-in-the-blank activity.
Use this vocabulary list from Lawless French to create a vocabulary resource for your students!
See these flashcards, spelling and matching activities from Quizlet on the theme of St. Patrick’s Day!
FREE pop art colouring sheets for St. Patrick’s Day from ‘Art with Jenny K’ on Teacher’s Pay Teachers. Great for use with all ages.
I have a FREE resource for Saint Patrick in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. It is a simple writing activity for students to explain why they are lucky. For younger students, brainstorm some ideas as a class and write them on chart paper. You can also have them illustrate their responses on the back of the shamrock printable. The resource is accompanied by a FREE word search with vocabulary related to Saint Patrick.
